ELECTROLUMINISCENT TECHNOLOGIES
EXPERIENCE THE FUTURE
What is THIN FILM LIGHTING (EL)?
THIN FILM LIGHTING panels are paper thin laminated panels that illuminate as an electrical current is passed through the panel. This THIN FILM LIGHTING is created when ink crystals with colored overlays are sandwiched between conductors, and as an electrical current is applied, the ink crystals rapidly charge and emit light which illuminates the printed overlay. TFL lamps are produced in many forms such as THIN FILM LIGHTING panels, TFL Tape or TFL Wire. The low power consumption makes THIN FILM LIGHTING technology one of the most energy efficient light sources available.
FEATURES
Electroluminescent (EL Panels) have very low power consumption compared to standard lighting options; using 70% to 90% less power.
- Dual Mode - Can be seen when the sign is off or when backlight.
- Environment - Indoor, Outdoor, Vehicle
- Light Weight - A typical display with size of 152mm x 305mm weighs ~284g.
- Shapes - Custom shapes available. Any size can be achieved by joining panels together.
- This can enable to create the highest brightness of 200 Cd/m2 at a low Voltage/ frequency of only 700Hz,
- Visibility - Can be seen from far distances in darkness, smoke and fog.
- Can be produced to any size or shape.
- Paper Thin - Typically between 0.25mm - 0.5mm.
- Reliability – TFL does not catastrophically fail as it consist of millions of microscopic crystals.
- Low power consumption - Consumes between 75-90% less electricity than any other light source.
- Efficiency - 80% of energy is converted to light.
